What this is
One flat sheet that follows the shape beneath it
The rectangular cover — also called a flat cover — is a single piece of tarpaulin in one plane. It is not sewn to the shape of a particular item: you lay it on top and the material falls naturally down the sides. At the corners the surplus gathers into the familiar folds — these are not seams or joins, but the sheet itself, which keeps its rectangular shape.
That is exactly why one and the same cover does the job on many different objects. It keeps out rain, snow, dust and dirt, and outdoors it is tied down with rope or elastic cord through the eyelets around the edge. All you have to decide are the two measurements — and to allow in them for how far you want the sheet to hang down the sides.
Thrown over the top
Nothing to assemble and no tools — you unfold it and lay it over the item.
To your measurements

Measuring
How to work out the size
The two measurements you enter are those of the COVER, not of the item. Besides the top surface you have to allow for the overhang down the sides — the more of it, the more of the object will be protected.
There is only one sum
size of the item + overhang on the left + overhang on the right
Example: the item is 1.00 m wide and you want the cover to hang 0.50 m down each side. The width you need is 1.00 + 0.50 + 0.50 = 2.00 m. The same principle applies to the length.
-
L
L — length of the cover
The length of the item plus the overhang you want at each of its ends.
-
W
W — width of the cover
The width of the item plus the overhang on both sides, measured at right angles to the length.
Both measurements are those of the SHEET itself, not of the object underneath. Add the overhang you want on both sides to the object's own size — the more of it, the more of the object stays protected. Range for an online order: 1.00 m to 10.00 m per side.
At the corners the surplus material gathers into folds — that is normal for a rectangular cover and is not a fault. The taller the item, the lower the corners hang.
Applications
A universal cover for almost anything kept outdoors
The rectangular cover is not meant for one particular item. Thanks to its simple construction it works equally well on single objects, on groups of things of different heights and on stored materials — the sheet simply follows their overall contour.

Why online
Two measurements and that is it — no survey, no template, no trip to the workshop.
The rectangular cover is one of the products made entirely remotely. The shape is as simple as it gets — a rectangle — so all you need to settle is how big the sheet should be.
The price appears at once
The calculator works out the fabric from the cutting list and the eyelets around the edge — you see the final figure before you order.
You see what you are ordering
The 3D view shows the sheet spread out — with its dimensions, the hem and the eyelets all the way round, exactly as it will arrive.

We make the cover to your measurements, fold it compactly and send it by courier.

How it is made
How the cover is put together
The widths off the roll are joined into one large sheet by high-frequency welding — no thread and no seams that let water through. All the way round, the sheet ends in a hem of about 5 cm, also welded rather than sewn, and the eyelets are set into it.
Hem and eyelets
A hem of about 5 cm on all four sides with Ø10 mm metal eyelets about every 50 cm — rope or elastic cord goes through them.
Compact packing
The finished cover folds down to a parcel with a base of about 60 × 60 cm — its height depends on the area and the weight. That keeps courier delivery cheaper.
The cover is not tailored to the shape of a particular item — it is a rectangular sheet and there is always surplus material at the corners.

Material
PVC tarpaulin 580/700 g/m²
Waterproof PVC coated tarpaulin, made to protect whatever is underneath from rain, snow, dust and dirt. The heavier of the two standard weights — for intensive use and for staying outdoors permanently. Available in a range of colours, subject to stock.
- UV protection
- Waterproof
- Indoors and out
Protected from the sun
The tarpaulin is UV stabilised: the sun fades the colour and ages the material far more slowly than it would a fabric without that protection. It matters on a cover that stays outside all summer — over garden furniture, bales or a machine in the open.
UV protection slows ageing down but does not stop it — the real lifespan also depends on the strength of the sun, the climate, the colour and how the cover is used.
