Windbreaks for umbrellas
More comfort outside. A longer season for your business.
Important: one panel closes only one side of one umbrella. A full four-sided umbrella takes four panels, and with two or more umbrellas pushed tight together only the outer perimeter is closed. You don't have to close every side — two panels on the windward sides are often enough.
Transparent PVC crystal
0.5 mm thick — the light and the view stay, the area doesn't turn into a closed room.
Tarpaulin borders
An opaque board about 40 cm high along the bottom, and borders that hide the metal frame.
Knock-down frame 15 × 15 mm
The profiles slot into each other and stay inside the pockets of the borders — they aren't visible from the front.
Colour of your choice
The borders are made in a colour matched to the umbrella or to your corporate identity.

The windshield panel is a modular system that keeps the wind out from under a standard restaurant or advertising umbrella 3.4–3.5 m wide. Each panel closes only one side of one umbrella, so how many panels you need is your decision.
It comes in three ready configurations at fixed prices — standard 3.50 m, 3.50 m with a door and half 1.75 m. The panels tie to each other with velcro straps and can enclose a single umbrella or a whole zone made of several umbrellas pushed together.

When you have an outdoor retail space, the problem is often not a lack of space, but that the wind makes the space uncomfortable for customers and difficult to use . Even in good weather, the strong draft around the tables is enough to make people prefer to sit inside, move around, or not use the outdoor area at all.
Windbreaks for umbrellas solve exactly this problem.
They are mounted to standard restaurant and advertising umbrellas and limit the direct impact of the wind without taking away the feeling of open space. The large transparent part preserves light and visibility outside, while customers remain more protected and more comfortable.
The result is simple: the outdoor area can be used more often and in conditions where it would otherwise remain empty . This is especially important for restaurants, cafes, bars, hotel gardens and other establishments where outdoor seating is a real part of the commercial capacity. In the product documentation, customer comfort, extension of the season and better use of the outdoor area are indicated as the main benefits.
Who is this product suitable for?
Windbreaks are a solution for you if you have umbrellas in front of a restaurant or other outdoor facility, but some of the places often remain unusable due to wind. They are also suitable when you want to make the outdoor area more cozy, without turning it into a heavy and permanently closed structure.
They are especially practical for sites where the wind mainly comes from a certain direction. It is not necessary to close the entire umbrella. Each barrier only closes one side of it, so you can, for example, place two barriers only on the sides from which the strongest current comes.
This allows you to build exactly as much protection as you need—no more, no less.
One umbrella or an entire outdoor area
The system is modular.
If you have one umbrella, you can protect one, two, three or all of its sides. If you have several umbrellas, they can be placed close together and the windbreaks placed only on the outer periphery.
Thus, several individual umbrellas can form a larger, protected and visually complete area for customers , without the need for a barrier between every two umbrellas.
The individual panels can be connected to each other using the provided Velcro connections, which allows for the construction of different configurations according to the specific space.
Free access when you need it
Not every side needs to be completely closed. That's why there are several variations of the product.
The standard partition closes off an entire side of the umbrella. If there needs to be an entrance on that side, a double-zipper door option can be used, where the central section opens and rolls up.
If you prefer a wider and permanently clear passage, a half-barrier can be used, which takes up only half of the side of the umbrella.
This way you can combine wind protection and convenient access according to the actual movement of people in the site.
More comfort for the customer. Better use of the area.
For your customer, a windbreak means less draft, a more pleasant feel at the table, and a more comfortable time outdoors.
For you, this means the ability to use your outdoor space more days of the year and in a wider variety of weather conditions. Instead of your outdoor seating being usable only when the weather is perfect, it becomes a much more reliable part of your retail capacity.
The transparent PVC material allows the area to remain bright and visually open, rather than creating a feeling of a closed room. The panel is made with a large transparent part and a synthetic tarpaulin periphery.
A particularly suitable solution if:
you have tables under umbrellas that customers avoid in windy conditions;
you want to use your outdoor area for most of the season;
you have flow from only one or two specific directions;
you want to protect several adjacent umbrellas as a common space;
you want a transparent and unobtrusive solution that does not obscure the view;
you need an entrance or free passage between protected areas.
A windbreak doesn't just close off one side of the umbrella. It turns an area that is completely weather-dependent into a space you can use much more fully.
All three are assembled and joined the same way, so they can be combined freely according to how people actually move around the venue.
Standard panel 3.50 m
Closes the entire side of a standard umbrella. The transparent PVC field is a single piece, with no vertical dividing strips in the middle — the clearest view out.
/ panel
Panel 3.50 m with a door
The same panel, but with two vertical zips in the transparent part. The section between them forms an entrance and rolls up when opened. The bottom horizontal profile is split in two and extra supports are fitted around the entrance.
/ panel
Half panel 1.75 m
Structurally identical to the standard panel, but half as wide. The remaining 1.75 m or so of the side stays free to walk through — an alternative to the door variant.
/ panel
The system is modular — you build exactly as much protection as you need, and can add to it later.
One panel = one side
Each panel closes only one side of one umbrella. That is the unit the order is counted in.
A whole umbrella = four panels
A standard four-sided umbrella is fully enclosed by four panels — or by a mix of standard, door and half panels.
Several umbrellas = one area
Two or more umbrellas are pushed tight together and closed only along the outer perimeter. No panel is needed between two neighbouring umbrellas: a joined pair takes six panels, not eight.
You don't have to close everything
If the draught comes from one or two directions, put panels only there. The rest can be added later.
This is how panels look combined around one umbrella and around two pushed together.
Umbrellas side by side:
→ 4 panels for the whole outer perimeter
The formula is 2 × number of umbrellas + 2: no panel goes between two umbrellas pushed together. That is the upper bound — if you only close the windward sides, reduce the count.
1
Assembling the frame
The horizontal profiles join into a piece about 3.42 m long and go into the top and bottom pockets. The side profiles with L-shaped ends then tension the frame.
2
Fixing to the umbrella
The panel sits on the outside of the umbrella's frame. The velcro straps pass around the umbrella's beams between the frame and the cover and are tightened back. It must also be fixed in the middle zone.
3
Adjusting the height
The support feet slide into the vertical profiles and are secured with a split pin. The overall height adjusts in the range of roughly 1.95–2.25 m to suit the umbrella and the slope of the ground.
4
Joining at the corner
The end vertical profiles of two neighbouring panels stand next to each other and are tied with three horizontal velcro straps at different heights. This forms L-shaped, U-shaped or fully closed configurations.
Corner, upper part
The velcro strap passes through the frame of the neighbouring panel and is tightened back onto its own soft part.
Corner, lower part
At the bottom the same tie is repeated above the adjustable support foot, which can be anchored to the pavement if needed.
Stops the draught
Limits the direct effect of the wind without turning the outdoor area into a closed room.
Keeps the light
The large transparent field keeps the view out and the feeling of open space.
Modular
Close one, two, three or all sides — and add more panels whenever you decide to.
Quick to fit and remove
The frames come apart and the ties are mostly velcro, so the configuration can change with the season.
A longer season
The seats under the umbrellas become usable on more days of the year, not only in perfect weather.

The panel is a standard product and isn't made to measure, so the order comes down to the number of panels, the variant and the colour.
1
Work out the count
Count the sides you want to close and choose a variant for each of them.
2
Choose a colour
The borders are made in the colour you choose — usually matched to the umbrella.
3
We check the umbrella
Get in touch and confirm the width and height of the umbrella before the order goes into production.
4
Production and delivery
We make the panels together with their metal frames and send them to you ready to assemble.
Check the size of your umbrella
The standard panel is designed for advertising umbrellas about 3.4–3.5 m wide and 2.00–2.25 m high. If your umbrella falls outside that range, call us — we will judge whether a non-standard build is needed.
