We produce large-sized covers in individual sizes , designed for reliable covering and protection of bulk cargo, materials, machinery, equipment and goods outdoors or in industrial environments.

With this type of product, the size is practically not limited by the production technology. The real limitation comes from the weight of the finished cover - as the area increases, its mass also increases, making transportation, spreading and subsequent storage more difficult.

We manufacture each cover according to the specific object, the required dimensions, the method of attachment and the conditions under which it will be used.

Where are they used?

Large-sized covers are suitable for covering:

• agricultural produce and bulk cargo;

• construction materials and raw materials;

• machinery and industrial equipment;

• inventory;

• pipes, metal products and structures;

• materials stored in open areas;

• large loads and objects with non-standard shapes.

They can be manufactured for both temporary covering and long-term use with appropriate reinforcement.

Covers of virtually unlimited sizes

The production technology allows the joining of individual canvases and the production of covers with a very large total area .

For products with an area of more than approximately 1000 m², it is often more practical to divide the cover into several separate sections. A system of connections and fastenings can be provided between the sections, so that after installation they form a common cover.

This solution has several important advantages:

• lower weight of individual elements;

• easier transportation;

• more convenient spreading on the object;

• less effort required for assembly and disassembly;

• easier maintenance and replacement of a separate section if necessary.

For very large covers, dividing them into modules is often the most practical solution.

Material suitable for heavy loads

We usually produce large-sized covers from synthetic tarpaulin weighing 700 g/m² .

For large areas, the choice of material is particularly important. The cover can be subjected to significant loads, especially in strong winds. The larger the exposed area, the more serious the stresses on the material and the attachment points can be.

There are lighter tarpaulins on the market, but as the weight decreases, the material's resistance to tearing and tearing usually decreases. Therefore, for large covers, we do not recommend that the choice be made solely for the purpose of reducing weight and price.

For covers with an area of over about 20 m², the durability of the material is already of significant importance, and for hundreds of square meters it becomes one of the main factors in the design of the product.

Additional reinforcement

When the dimensions, shape of the object or operating conditions require it, the cover can be additionally reinforced on the inside with thermal belts .

Reinforcements can be placed in predetermined areas to help distribute loads over the large area of the cover.

Their specific location is determined according to:

• the dimensions of the product;

• the method of installation;

• the shape of the materials being coated;

• the attachment points;

• the expected operational load.

Reliable fastening along the periphery

The necessary accessories for strengthening and fixing can be installed along the perimeter of the cover.

Their type, spacing and method of attachment are determined by the specific application. For large covers, proper reinforcement is particularly important, as an unreinforced or insufficiently stretched tarpaulin can be subjected to strong dynamic wind loads.

Therefore, when designing, we consider the cover, its reinforcements and the fastening system as one common structural element .

Big size also means big weight

Weight is a factor that should be considered when ordering.

For example, a tarpaulin made of 700 g/m² material has approximately 700 kg of self-weight per 1000 m² of material , not including additional reinforcements and accessories.

Therefore, for very large items it is important to consider in advance:

• how many people will participate in the installation;

• is there a possibility of using mechanization;

• how the cover will be transported;

• how often will it be put on and taken off;

• Is it necessary to divide it into separate sections?
